Episode 35: A Gift from Zoffy
(featuring Dream Terrible-Monster Dreamgiras)
A boy named Yukio dreams about a Terrible-Monster spraying cold water on him. When he wakes up he's wet the bed. His mother embarresses him by haning the sheet outside to dry. When he looks at he sees the shape of a monster on it. Other boys tease him and say they will tell everyone. Dan is concerned about the pattern. The boys are forming a soccer team but won't let Yukio play, unless he pulls a prank, phones TAC and gets them to show up. He makes the call, claiming Terrible-Monster Dreamgiras has appeared. He even uses his real name when Hokuto as him for it. Radar shows nothing, but to be save Captain Ryu sends Hokuto to check it out. He drives TAC Panther to the reported location. No Terrible-Monster. Hokuto finds Dan and asks if he knows Yukio, Dan points him out. And Hokutu yells at him for making a prank call to TAC. Most of the other boys flee, Dan stays. Hokuto says he's going to take Yukio home and see his mother disciplines him better. Yukio pees his pants. Dan stands up for Yukio saying he wouldn't make a prank call on his own. Dan is still angry but then he recalls he was a bed wetter until he was nine. He tells the boy and offers encouragment. They shake hands and Hokuto gives him an Ullraman Ace badge. At home Yukio's mother notices the sheet still hasn't dried. She give her son what she says his medicine to help stop bed wetting. He again dreams that a Terrible-Monster is after him. He wests the bed again. In the morning he talks to Dan about the dream, how it happens at lake with a cedar tree and suspension bridge. Dan says he knows the lake. A bus ride and some walking and Yukio finds the lake. At home the stain vanishes from the sheet. At the lake the real Terrible-Monster appears and shoots down two jet planes. Yukio finds a phone and calls TAC, asking for Hokuto. He tells Hokutp about the monster shooting down two jets. But again, nothing shows on radar. The others think Yukio is pulling another prank but Hokuto trusts him and flies off in a TAC Arrow without waiting for Captain Ryu to return to HQ and authorize it.
The Terrible-Monster sinks back into the lake and the stain reappears on the sheet. Hokuto arrives at the lake, no Terrible-Monster but he drops a bomb anyway expecting the Terrible-Monster to come out in response, it does not. He returns to base. Later, when the captain is back the police phone claiming the two jets colided into each other (not correct). Hokuto gets into TAC Panther, drives to Yukio's home and takes the Ultraman Ace badge back. saying he's not a friend of someone who betrays his trust. Yukio cries as Hokuto drives away. Later, Hokuto is at home. Dan walks in without asking and tells Hokuto he's wrong about Yukio, who is so upset he wont't even talk to him. He says "you are being too hars, big brother". Hokuto claims he has to be harsh now so Yukio wont grow into an adult liar. Dan who trusts Yukio goes off to try to comfort his friend. Hokuto hears something and looks out his window, seeing the Star of Ultra and then Zoffy who tells him "little brother, you have made a mistake" He says he should have trust that boy but instead he's hurt his heart and must atone for it and heal the boy's heart. After school, Dan goes to Yukio's home but he is not there, he tells his mother he was not in school either. Dan looks for him but cannot find him. Hokutu pulls up and tells Dan to get it TAC Panther. He takes Dan to the lake. They find Yukio but he will not speak to them and looks so hurt. Dan says Hokuto has turned him into a mute. Hokuto says he will kill the Terrible-Monster in front of Yukio then calls TAC and reports the Terrible-Monster is hiding in the lake. Hokuto changes into a wet suit and tells Dan to take Yukio to a safe location. Hokuto dives into the lake and plants a remote controled bomb. This time the explosion drives the Terrible-Monster to the surface. Hokuto shoots at the monster with his TAC Gun. TAC Falcon arrives and opens fire. TAC Arrow arrives and his immediatly shot down. TAC Space arrives, same result. Dan and Yukio are not in a safe place. Hokutu yells and Dan and Yukio to run. He shoots at the Terrible-Monster but runs out of ammo. The Terrible-Monster is chasing both boys. Dan tells Yukio "run, you are not dreaming". Hokuto becomes Ultraman Ace. The Terrible-Monster drags Ace into the lake where it has the advantage and Ace is disadvantaged.
Zoffy sends a weapon, the Ultra Magic Ray, which evaperates all the water in the lake. This device is never used again in any Ultraman series or film. Once the water is gone, Ace, kills the Terrible-Monster with Metalium Beam. And Yukio is back to nomral. Later,Yulio is play soccer. Hokuto watches as the narrator talks about correcting your mistakes. >Preview of next episode<. "See you next week".
