Episode 32: With Hopes in the Star of Ultra
(featuring Terrible-Monster Human Cokes)
Who ever wrote this episode clearly forgot that it was established long ago that Hokuto is TAC's best pilot. At TAC HQ an alarm is sounding because Space Station No. 5 has been attacked and destroyed. The space ship is on the way to Tokyo. TAC Falcon, TAC Space and TAC Arrow are launched, with Hokuto piloting the Arrow. No TAC Panther this time. Hokuto spots the space ship first. All three TAC fighters attack. A strange sound from the space ship disorients and weakens Hokuto. Yamanaka fires two missiles and despite looking like they were going to miss, hit and destroy the space ship. Back at HQ he yells out Hokotu and miscounts how many missiles he fired (two not one). [Just once I wish Hokuto would punch this loud mouth idiot in nose or announce that if he doesn't shut up Ultaman Ace will neve save him again.] Captain Ryu sends Hokuto to take flight training. Yamanaka is so arrogant he ordered a toast to himself. Mikawa, Konno, Yoshimura, bring out drinks and a cake. Yoshimura starts playing a guitar and singing the TAC theme song. The others join in. not realizing they are not living up to the songs words in the way they are treating team mate Hokuto. Dan and Kayoko are walking down the sidewalk when Dan spots a truck about to run into another boy, he knocks the boy out of the way and lectures the truck driver on his unsafe driving. Kayoko discovers the boy has a high fever (uh oh). Kayoko wants to call an ambulance but the boy says he's fine. Dan invites him to rest at their place. When Dan asks the boy his name he says "Hoshino, Akira". Akira means "glitter, sparkle, glisten, twinkle". In the middle of the night, Hokuto is awoken by a door bell than knocking. Its Dan worried about his house guest who has a sever fever. Hokuto looks at the boy and says he needs a doctor. But Dan says Akira hates doctors. After Dan intorduces Hokuto as being from TAC, Hokuto starts getting dizzy and clutches the sides of his face in pain. Hokuto goes home to bed. Next day his radio wakes him. He over slept and that loud mouth idiot from TAC is mad. Hokuto realizes that what happened to him last night was the same as in the TAC Arrow and concludes that the boy Akira is actually an alien. As he near's Dan's apartment he hears that sound again and has to move away. He cannot get near Akira. That jerk radio's Hokuto again. Before heading to TAC HQ, Hokuto writes a note for Dan. Yamanaka who needs an anger managment class is still a ravining idiot. Dan finds the note, let on the milk bottles outside the apartment door. It asks Dan to watch Akira and report to TAC HQ if see anything strange and the note is signed "From the 5th Ultraman Brother to the 6th'. And includes an Ultra Sign. She he accept the letter as being from Ace rather than Hokuto. Hokuto is traiing in a TAC Arrow. And then Dan does something stupid he calls Akira to watch TAC flight traning. He probably doesn't realize its Hokuto doing the flying. Akira knows though. He points his finger which starts glowing red at Hokuto's TAC Arrow. Hokuto loses control. Dan knocks Akira back. Akira than reveals that he is actually Terrible-Monster Human Cokes and that he is going to annilate TAC starting with Hokuto. Dan tries to fight Akira but Akira knocks him down than vanishes laughing.
Back at TAC HQ, that fool Yamanaka is declaring TAC's best pilot is unti to fly. Captain Ryu assings Hokuto to ground duty only. Dan phones TAC as instrucrd but that idiot answers the phone and wont let Hokuto talk to Dan or take Dan's report that Akira is Terrible-Monster Human Cokes seriously. Now the captain wants Hokuto to get some rest but instead he tries to train himself to function when he is dizzy but blind folding himself and spinning around on a rope tied to a tree. Dan is standing on a hill praying that Ultraman Ace will someohe know about Terrible-Monster Human Cokes's disorienting beam from its finger. The Star of Ultra flashes. Akira finally transforms into his true form outside TAC HQ, and captain Ryu orders everyone into action except Hokuto. Terrible-Monster Human Cokes which looks sort of like a rooster. goes after TC's radar after knocking out its automated defenses. As the TAC jets fire on the Terrible-Monster it finally uses its disorienting attack on Yamanaka!! Then on Captain Ryu. Both TAC Falcon and TAC Space make crash landings (no crew ejecting this time). Hokuto acting aganst orders launches a TAC Arrow. His self training pays off, as even while the word is spinning he's able to shoot the Terrible-Monster in the head, temporarily stunning it. It recovers quickly and uses missiles to shoot down Hokuto's TAC Arrow. But out of the explosion as it hits the ground, Ultraman Ace appears. During the battle as Ace is about to use his Metalium Beam he is hit by the disorienting attack. Ace suddenly sees the Star of Ultra and receives a message to attack Terrible-Monster Human Cokes fingertips, the Star of Utra received "Ultraman Brother #6's message. Ace uses two guilotine blades to cut off the Terrible-Monster's arms not just its fingers. Making it easy to Metalium Beam it to death. Later, at TAC HQ Yamanaka apologises. Later, Hokuto and Dan are walking around looking at something, Star of Ultra? >Preview of next episode<. "See you next week".
